Team Work

The Sales Director must be a team player and willing to support the culture of International Bancard.  This position must work in a cooperative and supportive manner with Executive Leadership Team.

  • Work effectively with executive and management team to ensure consistent execution of corporate strategy and support atmosphere of teamwork at all times.

  • Interface with Finance for intelligence gathering on merchant portfolios as needed.

  • Negotiate merchant accounts and work with the Inside Sales Associates, as well as the Outside Sales Associates, estimating, underwriting, deployment, and client care teams to close business.

  • Provide support to any number of projects from an operational, financial and resource standpoint.

  • Attend crucial meetings and follow up on all required assignments

  • Perform additional assignments as required by the needs of the operational unit, company or as directed by the Executive Management Team.

The Sales Director is responsible for the Sales plan development and execution for International Bancard’s Direct Sales Operation.

  • Assist the Human Resource Department and Finance Department to ensure staffing and recruiting efforts are aligned with the growth strategy of the organization. Meet with Human Resources weekly.

  • Develop a strategic plan on how to increase referrals and lead flow into the Inside Sales room. Update quarterly for the President.

  • Assist in the recruitment of sales related positions and efforts.

  • Recommend process and system improvements.


Sales Team Development

The Sales Director will be responsible for growing the sales team in order to meet the objectives of the national sales plan and support overall strategic direction of International Bancard, including the training and mentoring of each sales professional as needed.

  • Develop, manage, train and mentor all Direct Sales Associates, as defined by International Bancard on a consistent, hourly, daily, weekly, monthly basis for maximum productivity. Report on what the continuing educational items were trained, discussed and implemented.

  • Review recorded calls daily to assist in closing additional deals, listening to and participate in sales call in real-time to further the skills of the Inside Sales Associates and maximize productivity.

  • Train Sales Associates on products, interchange and general selling techniques to ensure greater productivity, including testing Inside Sales Associates regularly.

  • Train Sales Associates on the portal and the use of the e-sign application.

  • Make joint sales calls with Sales Associates in order to provide coaching and guidance especially with regards to closing and development sales team.

  • Continuously review and refine key performance indicators

  • Develop and execute training schedule for Sales Associates for both the onboarding of new Inside/Outside Sales Associates as well as ongoing training.



The Sales Director will be directly responsible for the management of the sales force.  They will have daily over-site of inside sales including opening and closing the sales floor.

  • Collaborate with the Sales Associates and discuss their pipelines on a daily basis.

  • Manage the employees’ life cycle; hiring, on-boarding, discipline, coaching and termination with the assistance of the Human Resources Department.

  • Work with the Marketing Department to determine marketing initiatives to drive referrals to the Inside Sales.

  • Distribute daily referrals according to the greatest return on our investments.

  • Open and close the sales room daily – conducting mandatory sales meetings daily, first one in- last one out for the day.

  • Monitor call metrics for all Inside Sales Associates on a daily basis.

  • Collaborate with Marketing to manage the entire database of prospects to ensure every opportunity is being maximized to its fullest potential.

  • Review daily Inside Sales Associate production related to pro forma expectations and performance manages sales team with a daily, weekly and monthly plan.

  • Secure necessary merchant card statements and required financials in order to respond with a winning proposal to maximize closing rates while maintaining 100% customer satisfaction.

  • Set, track and hold oneself and team accountable to key performance indicators.

  • Develop team in order to drive and foster a healthy and competitive environment.


The Sales Director will be responsible for providing ongoing reporting to management in a timely and effective manner.  They will be responsible for driving all reporting of the sales team via use of International Bancard’s proprietary information capital system, Passport & Sales Force.

  • Develop and submit monthly a strategic plan on how to increase self-sourced deals.

  • Update sales pipeline and forecasts as hosted by the online reporting system, Including Passporter and Sales Force.

  • Develop execution plans and reports related to Inside Sales and report weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually.

  • Report weekly updates on upfront bonuses/spiffs accumulated for the President as well as the Finance Team.

  • Present monthly forecasts by lead source and Inside Sales Associate to the President, submitted by the 5th of every month.

  • Review deals and initiate weekly updated number totals, separated by lead source and Inside Sales Associates, for President.

  • Maintains and updates contact information in our proprietary Customer Relationship Management system, Passport, as well as Sales Force, daily, on clients. All prospects must be imputed by 11:59 p.m. daily.



The Sales Director is responsible for operating within the organization’s financial, legal and ethical policies.

  • Responsible for driving the growth of revenue and profit originating from the Inside Sales room.

  • Manage the Inside Sales P/L.

  • Work with the Financial Department to determine weekly and monthly spiffs and contests developing weekly incentive plans to increase sales counts.


Other duties as requested and assigned.
